joel kerner is a registered architect and faculty member at the syracuse university school of architecture. he holds a master of architecture from the southern california institute of architecture, where he studied under pritzker prize laureate thom mayne. his work has been exhibited internationally, including at the a+d museum in los angeles, the centre pompidou in paris, and viru centre in tallinn, estonia. he has served as a critic and lecturer at several institutions, including the school of the art institute of chicago, the illinois institute of technology, the university of illinois, washington university in st louis, the university of southern california, and woodbury university. he has recently collaborated with the harvard university graduate school of design, hardbakka ruins project in norway, and one-night stand for art & architecture. his projects and essays have appeared in plat journal, revista engawa, lunch journal, posit and see/saw, among others.
