Palka is a series of found textures and patterns applied to a found object. Flattened and then projected, the project mines the past for new meaning. The Palka series takes Frank Stella's, The Blanket, and Juniperus californica as its inspiration.

Anya Petrova Stevens is visual artist and architect born in Moscow. Jeff Stevens is landscape and architectural designer born in Los Angeles area. They live and work in Cambridge where Jeff is currently attending Harvard Graduate School of Design. Their work explores found objects and ideas through intentional misinterpretation.
